Is this course a full EMT Basic course?Yes. Our 14 Day Accelerated Course is fully approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services. You will receive a EMT Basic course completion certificate by a DSHS approved program which makes you eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs exam and be nationally certified.

Do I need a CPR certification to take this course?No. You will receive your American Heart Association Basic Life Saver Card, which includes CPR and AED, as part of the course.

Will I get hands on experience?Yes. During the 14 days, you will get hands on training of all skills within the EMT Basic scope of practice from our highly experienced instructors. Also during the 14 days, you will also complete a total of 36 hours of clinical rotations with EMS Providers (ambulance) and hospital emergency departments.

What is the entire process to get my EMT Basic License?Once you successfully complete our course, you will take the EMT National Certification Exam administered by the National Registry of EMTs. When you pass this exam and have your national certification, you will apply with your state office to receive your state license and you're all set!

What type of jobs can I obtain with an EMT license?EMTs are in high demand in a variety of industries. The most common fields we see EMTs go into once their training is complete are EMS, fire fighting, private industry medical personnel, and several others. EMS personnel are in high demand in each of these fields.

Do you allow medical and/or religious exemptions for immunizations.Yes

Will I receive help in preparing for the National Registry exam?Yes! While our course is thorough and very good at preparing students for their NR exam, we make ourselves available, at no extra cost, to help tutor and prepare you for examination.

Do you offer any lodging discounts?Yes! We have partnered with Wyndham Suites to provide out of town students with a 10% discount. If you are from out of town and require lodging, please let us know and we can provide you with the discount code.

Can I change the course date I wish to attend after registering?Yes. If you have been accepted and paid your deposit, you may change to any course date (with available seats). Your original deposit will be applied to the course change and no additional fees will be charged to you.

Will my EMT Basic certification be valid in any state?Once you pass your National Registry Exam, that certification is valid in every state. Every state requires the National Registry certification. There are a few states that require a couple of additional steps to be licensed in that state. You can find your states specific requirements HERE.
